Stop press . . . Confessions of an Eco-Shopper has already had a couple of great reviews ahead of publication day tomorrow (7 August). Not only that, but it's currently the No. 1 shopping guide on Amazon!

The Evening Standard gave it half a page in the Books section in Monday's paper (28 July), with reviewer Katie Law describing the book as 'amusing' and 'engagingly honest' and concluding by saying, 'this is an absolutely brilliant book'.

I love the fact that the reviewer embraces the ethos of the book so wholeheartedly. She sums up: '[Kate Lock's] message is completely clear. She's saying if she can do this, we can all do this and 'this' isn't about building solar panels on our houses, it's about making lots of small changes in our lives which, added together, will end up making a very big change. Mostly though, 'this' is about consuming less. Of everything.'

The same review was subsequently reproduced in The Scotsman on 3 August (you'll need to register with the site to access this).

Confessions of an Eco-Shopper was also reviewed in The Bookseller's August roundup, the reviewer calling it:  "One of the most realistic and readable green guides I've seen."
